I’m very big fan of photography, and high quality photography. Somehow suddenly I found out not very interesting and not very comfortable quality of social networks (VKontakte, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and messenger apps (Viber, Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger).
Camera
I use my phone Huawei Honor 7.
For hairsplitters: 20 MP, f/2.0, 27 mm, phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, 1/2.4′ sensor size, geo-tagging.
In the settings it shows 20 MPix = 5152х3888 pixels (4:3 ratio).

Worsening of images in messengers
I will start from messengers. They are very comfortable and useful… but only for preview. Once I tried to share and receive photos from messenger apps from many people at once and put those photos in the consistent order I became very disappointed… That’s why here’s brief description of the experiment.

As you can see, Oh My God What’s Happening and quality worsening cannot be reverted… And we can leave aside those weird namings and clearing information from photofile. Don’t use these programs for photofile transfer.
Image quality worsening in social network publications
The same as for messengers, when you are posting photo in social networks, the image quality worsening is inevitable. The original is the same, the social networks differ.

Conclusions about posts in social networks are the same… Nothing’s sunny, because the quality is being worsened many-fold, and I don’t want to compare it pixel by pixel or other ways.
Advise
If you are the same hairsplitter as I am, or you want to preserve a good quality of photo in your collection or album – send it via email, share it via Dropbox, Google Drive, Amazon Drive or any other services.
Finally, if you want, use the same special programs for size reduction of photos or editing: FastStone Image Viewer (Windows), JPEGmini Pro (Mac), Lyn (Mac).
P.S.
This information is more for those who love good originals, less for those who likes comparing quality of different social networks.

Ти хіба раніше не знав що соцмережі гівнять якість? Більше того, є деякі поєднання кольорів, які просто не відображаються в них, а йдуть плямами та викривляються, хоча в оригіналі все ок. Я вже не кажу про спроби виставляти фотографії чи скани малюнків з дрібним штрихуванням, його просто з’їдає.

но щоб настільки… спробуй 50-100 фоток з вайбера скачати… якщо нема іншого варіанту швидко це зробити

Я открыла гуглофото) оно вполне ок и делает смешные штуки из моих кадров) но это про телефон канеш))
